3 volts lithium batteries

Description

Lithium batteries are widely industrial use. Internal pressure is expremely low before, after and during discharging process. Under chemical composition, there are two main Lithium battery types. ER Series based in LiSOCl2 electrolyte and 3,6 Volts voltage. CR Series reach 3 Volts voltage with internal LiMnO2 composition. High energy density and extremely low auto-discharging rate make these batteries very usefull as memory backup system.

ER Series offer 1% year autodicharging average and 2% year is average rate for CR Series. There are two mainly mechanical construction systems: Bobin structure (Fig.2) or Spirally wounded structure (Fig.1) which is best suited for high current discharge, continous or pulse.

2.- Choose right serie and structure

It is very important to choose most suitable battery to your electronic circuit requirements. Choose ER or CR Series battery taking into account necessary voltage. Watch your cirucit current demand to choose high capacity or high power lithium battery. Note that high capacity lithium batteries are not able to supply high current pulses. Best performance is reached when discharging current is not higher than "Standard Discharging Rate" value.

3.- Warning

Lithium batteries are manufactured with organic solvents and combustible materials. Handling very special carefully and beware with following limitations:

  • No rechargeable batteries
  • Avoid polarity inversing
  • Avoid shortcircuit
  • Avoid direct not tags soldering
